The Société de Transport de Montréal (STM) is the main provider of bus service on the island of Montréal. They provide a day and night service, para-transit service and a metro service.

History

The Société de Transport de Montréal took over the Société de Transport de la Communauté Urbaine de Montréal (STCUM) in January 2002. This change came into effect when Montréal decided to merge all the municipalities on the island into one big city.

Paratransit Service

The Société de Trasport de Montréal operates a paratransit service for people with mobility problems. Service began in April of 1980.

Taxibus Service

Taxibus service is offered in areas where transit is needed, but not sufficiatly enough for a regular bus line. Regular STM fares apply.
