History

Honoré-Beaugrand named after former Montréal Mayor (1885 to 1887); Honoré Beaugrand (1849-1906). He was also the founder of the newspaper La Patrie in 1879. The street where the station is located is also named after Honoré Beaugrand.

The Metro station was built in 1976 and opened on June 6th 1976. The artist of the station was Jean-Paul Mousseau and the architecture was designed by Yves Bernard.

Location

As the eastern terminus of the Green Line, it mostly serves the residents of the surronding areas.

Honoré-Beaugrand Metro is located in the borough of Mercier-Hochelage-Maisonneuve on the corner of Honoré-Beaugrand street and Sherbrooke Est Street.
