Radisson is a station on the green line of the Montreal Metro.

History

Radisson station is named after a French Explorer; Pierre-Esprit Radisson (1640–1710). He was also the one of the founders of the Hudson Bay Company. The street where the station is located is named after his partner Médard Chouart des Groseillers. The street Des Groseillers runs parallel to Radisson.

This metro station was built in 1976 and opened on June 6th 1976. The architecture was designed by Papineau, Gérin-Lajoie, Leblanc, Edwards.

Radisson station is located in the borough of Mercier-Hochelage-Maisonneuve on the corner of Des Groseillers and Faradon Street.

Radisson metro serves as the eastern AMT Terminus. Buses from Repentigny, Joliette, Le Gardeur, Longueuil and other off-island cities us this station as their terminus. The STM runs all of there buses that go to Riviere-Des-Prairies from the South part of the island.
