Allowed file types

Pictures:

• Maximum file size: 4 MB
• Accepted formats: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif (non-animated)

Documents:

• Maximum file size: 2 MB
• Accepted formats: .pdf, .doc, .docx

Audio:

• Maximum file size: 5 MB
• Accepted formats: .mp3

Video:

• Maximum file size: 25 MB
• Accepted formats: .flv, .mp4

Filenames

Examples of good file names:

• RTL 21077 near Terminus Panama.jpg
• STM 22-203.png
• Novabus.jpg
• Terminus Longueuil at Night.png

Examples of bad file names:

• Image01.png
• John_RTL21077.jpg
• DSC00001.JPG
• 30996951316264l.jpg

To include a file in a page, use a link in one of the following forms:

• [[File:File.jpg]] to use the full version of the file
• [[File:File.png|200px|thumb|left|alt text]] to use a 200 pixel wide rendition in a box in the left margin with 'alt text' as description
• [[Media:File.ogg]] for directly linking to the file without displaying the file

Image names are case-sensitive. For example, if an image is called Picture.jpg then neither picture.jpg nor Picture.JPG will find it.

IMPORTANT NOTICE Before submitting your files for upload please make sure they follow these rules: Files uploaded to the wiki must are for use in articles only. Users using TransifanWiki as a file hosting system for external needs, including for the forums or other parts of Mystic's Transitfan Network may see their file uploading and wiki editing privileges removed permanently. The user uploading files must be the original copyright holder of the file. Files belonging to other persons wether or not they are members of Mystic's Transitfan Network are not permitted to be hosted on TranasitfanWiki. Files not respecting this rule may be deleted without prior notice. Files that are not used in any article within 7 days from upload date will be deleted. Files hosted on TransitfanWiki which are not following all the previous rules may be deleted and the user who uploaded the files may see their editing pivileges revoked without prior notice.
