The Corporation de transport Joliette Métropolitain was created in 1985 and took over the service for the CIT Joliette Métropolitain. The contract was awarded to Groupe Gaudreault and service began on February 1st, 1986.
The Corporation de Transport Joliette Métropolitain was created in 2002, taking over the service from Conseil Intermunicipal de Transport de Joliette-Métroploitain who provided the service within the MRC de Joliette since 1985. The first contract of the new service was awarded to Lanau-Bus Inc, a subsidiary of Groupe Gaudreault Inc. After the sale of Lanau-Bus Inc. in April of 2009, the service was awarded directly to Groupe Gaudreault.
 
A redesign of the system within the MRC de Joliette began in 2008 and was completed in 2010. The redesign brought new buses that were given the generic Groupe Gaudrault colors with the CT Joliette Métroplitain branding.
 
CT Joliette Métropolitain was nested under the services of [[Conseil Régional de Transport de Lanaudière|CRT Lanaudière]] when it was created in 2002, but runs independently to the CRT Lanaudière services.

The Corporation de Transport Joliette Métropolitain provides public transportation services for the towns of Joliette, Notre-Dame-des-Prairies and Saint-Charles-Borromée.

History

The Corporation de Transport Joliette Métropolitain was created in 2002, taking over the service from Conseil Intermunicipal de Transport de Joliette-Métroploitain who provided the service within the MRC de Joliette since 1985.
